Anyone work at Target?

Question

I’m really looking for a job. I love shopping at target so I thought maybe that’d be a good start. I wouldn’t mind working on the floor or as a beauty consultant on the floor, but I’m afraid my anxiety would interfere with working on the register as I’m nervous as heck when it comes to dealing with other people’s money and also getting them through the line with their items. So I’m wondering if you have to learn the register or if you can just be trained on the floor of what you’re actually going to do?

I worked at target for 5 years starting in the fitting room, eventually became hr, then a team lead. I absolutely loved it! I always recommend it as a place to work. If you work during operating hours your are required to know the register for backup. The only way you can get put of register is to do flow (logistics) and work overnight or 4 am shift at a lower volume store. I will say when I started i had anxiety. My eyes teared up everytime I talked to someone. It took a few months but working there really got me out of my shell. Good luck!

if you work at target you’re gonna eventually have to learn how to do everything . target treats its employees soooooo very badly .

I worked at Target. Learning the cash register is a requirement so when they need back up anyone can help. I learned every department of target. Cashier, customer service, Starbucks, back room, hard lines, soft lines, store operator, Plano, and electronics. Unless you work on the truck you are going to have to help customers.

I've applied to work there a bunch of times and they never pick me. Last year, I've applied to work there and I had to take the assessment, watch a video and even got interviewed, only not to get hired.

I worked at target! I worked in the bakery and at the Starbucks inside. I loved it, they paid well.
