Who to invite to first Birthday

Who are you inviting to first birthday?   I feel bad because there aren't really any kids coming.  And it will be at my townhouse and it's small.

That is fine if it’s small! The important thing is you want to celebrate your baby reaching one with pictures to look back at :) They won’t know the difference and as they get older you guys will meet more parents and little kids who are their friends etc. 
We have a whole other problem lol 
We have 3 sides of family to invite and friends from church so we are looking at close to 100 people who will attend just like my baby shower. It’s very costly!

We are just inviting family and a few close friends. It will be small. I only wanted people there that my son knows and recognizes. It's his day after all. :)

I am only inviting people who spend time with my lo to dinner this monday. About 15 people. Plan on having spaghetti dinner, then cake and ice cream afterwards. Its a school night so no need to go crazy. Plus the 1st birthday is more for the parents, so no need to worry about the lack of children.

we only have family and close friends.  there will be 18 people,  including myself,  our daughter and my husband. other than our daughter,  we have another 1 year old that just turned 1 last week, then a 5 month old, a 5 year old and a 7 year old. all family. we have a 5600 sq 4/3 home . its quite big. but im pretty sure everyone will end up on the outside screened patio, where our pool is.

We rented out our local community center. I did a FB invite and there are 22 people who said yes. But that's not including their significant others and kids and the older folk not on FB. I estimate around 60 people. 
I'm bringing a wiffle ball for the kids to play outside and bubbles. It's a Hot Diggity Dog party.So a hot dog and topping bar, mac n cheese, fruit salad, buffalo dip and chips. Also cake. 
We have a really large family and are having some close friends come.

The way I see it is the little one is going to be tired after a couple hours so I'm having mine 2-3 hours long and encouraged people it's more "stopping in, having a few treats and snacks and wishing the babe a happy birthday" we're not having any games or entertainment since he doesn't do much other than looking for things he shouldn't be doing so we're just going to focus on a couple hours of hanging out with the birthday boy.

his birthday, nap time is far more important than pleasing people. investing in a photo cake smash session and a party at a pizza parlor that will be exactly 2 hours long. I'd rather have a rested baby with a few close friends and family to celebrate than waste time inviting several 100 of people to a party the birthday boy will probably be asleep throughout the festivities. maybe when. he's 3 or 4 .
