What do you guys think about circumcising your newborn?

I'm a little curious I know it helps prevent them getting infections once they get older ?  I need help making this choice.

Our babe is it is scary but it is completely numb and they do not remember anything. It is better when they are young I know a guy whose parents did not have it done when he was a baby and I forget why I think the skin ripped or something but he had to go through the procedure at like 40ish years old. That would be way worse it just keeps it cleaner and it honestly looks nicer as well. In the end it it your choice. :)

I'm leaving that choice all up to my husband. He is the one with the penis and I'm sure he knows more than me.

I have a son yes I had him circumcised. if I have another son I will also have him circumcised. my sister just gave birth to a son she had him circumcised

The choice is up to you momma! Just make sure your decision is mutual between you & your partner & that's all you need to really worry about. What others say or think honestly don't matter.

We had it done at 2 days old, met the pediatrician who did the procedure. Hubby went with baby and stayed during the procedure. Baby left sleeping and came back 10 min later still asleep. He healed in about 10 days.

There's no medical reason for having it done - the infection rate is really low and they can always have it done when they're older. I let my husband decide since I don't have one and didn't feel like I had much of a day. Lol.

It's a personal choice. Everyone has their opinions and it gets brought up a lot here- with lots of arguing (you can always search the topic). You'll likely get a bunch of "not this again/beating a dead horse" comments just by posting this. Best to talk to your doctors and make the choice yourself.

it's your choice! talk to your dr, do your research etc. ultimately I let my SO decide because he's got one and I don't lol. he's un-circed and our son will be too.
