membrane sweep ?

I'm supposed to go next Friday and if I'm dilated they will attempted a membrane sweep ! ... How many of you did this work?? or didn't lol ... I'll be 38 weeks and 2 days then 😊

I got swept at 39+4 when I was 3cm dilated. The following week I was still 3cm. Had an induction scheduled for 41+1 but thankfully didn't have to be induced, and ended up giving birth at 40+6!

Did it at 38 weeks 2cm, mucus plug came out very bloody and that was it. Had it at 39w6d again and nothing. The very last of my mucus plug started to come out again 2 days after but that was it. I'm 40w2d and still pregnant.

It's worth a shot but be warned that it does not feel great.

With my second I had 1 and still went 2 weeks over with my third I had (no lie) 5 and it was till the 5th one and 4days over that something finally started to happen, they work for some and not for others my uncles wife had a sweep and went into labor that night and my friend had one and went into labor that afternoon

I had one at 38+5 with my first pregnancy. I was already 3 cm and 90% effaced. The next day (Wednesday) I started having regular, but painless contractions. They broke my water the following morning (Thursday) and our daughter was born that afternoon. I think the conditions were just right and my body was ready so it worked for me.
