Baby Movements?

i am currently 17 weeks going on 18 weeks , am i suppose to feel my baby kick repeatedly or is it still to early? this is my first pregnancy.... i feel movement every day just not as much maybe 1 or twice.... is it because im still early? does that mean everything is fine....

At 24 weeks you should be feeling them kick at least once a day, so you’re fine!

I feel movement too (18 weeks tomorrow) but it’s very random. I’ll maybe feel one kick in the morning and a couple at night or there will be an entire day with no kicks. But it’s amazing to feel anything! :)

People who say they feel them at 14 weeks I don't even believe. I didn't feel anything until like 19-20 weeks with my first. I'm 14 weeks and I don't feel anything and I'm not worried despite the number of women who say they do feel something. If things are in the way like the placentas or if they're backwards then you might not be able to feel them for another couple of weeks.

Ask about your placenta location. I'm 16 weeks with twins and no movement but because my placenta is anterior for both I'm not concerned. I think around 20 weeks would be a good estimate.

It also depends on the placement of your placenta what you’ll feel. With my first I didn’t feel anything until 21 weeks or so because My placenta was in front. With this one I’ve been feeling movement since 12 weeks, and constant movement since 16 weeks. I think this baby may give me a run for my money. It’s an active one! All of that to say, you’re too early to worry about counting, and there are so many factors that go into how much you will actually feel. You’re a sweet momma to already be thinking about it though :)

Kick counting doesn't start until around 28 weeks. Too sporadic to keep track before then
