October is here that means haunted houses and corn mazes are opening. I have gone every year and loved it. My husband is wanting to go this year but a lot of people keep telling me that I shouldn’t go since I’m pregnant. I’m 23 weeks and was wondering what you guys thought.

You can stress the baby out.. I asked my doctor and she said it's not recommended because of that but she said its up to me.. it won't harm the baby just stress them out.

It depends on how you react at haunted houses. I like horror movies and still watch them while pregnant. They don't bother me much, but I do get the occasional jump scare. My stress level thwn goes up for about a minute and comes down. My OB says it's fine. If you get really scared, I wouldn't do it because super high stress levels can cause the baby to panic. I get really scared at haunted houses and plan to sit out this year.

I wouldn’t just because of the potential for accidents. A lot of people being silly and exaggerated scared and potentially drunk in the dark. Lots of potential for falling, tripping, getting accidentally pushed. But that’s just me.

I get scared very easily during movies and at Halloween functions so I'm opting not to go to anything scary this year 1. Because I don't want to stress my body out that bad for sake of the baby and 2. I'd for sure pee my pants 😂 I'll just go to the corn maze during the kid hours. 💁 haha

They just don’t want you getting hurt and also getting scared can cause trauma and stress and can cause you to go to preterm labor

I mean I workout Nd am 19 weeks...not sure what the difference would be unless you totally freak out in haunted houses but otherwise it would just increase your pulse

What's their reasoning? I think you are fine.... I did corn maze while pregnant and was totally fine.
