How soon did you find out the gender?

I'm 12w2d and wondering if I'd get an accurate answer at my ultrasound tomorrow.

I asked at my 12 week scan (I was 13 weeks) and she said that being so early it all looks the same so they can never be sure, I found out at 17w2d with a private 4D scan and he most definitely is a boy!!

I really wouldn’t expect to learn gender by ultrasound at 12 weeks. I’ve read external genitals don’t even develop until around 15 weeks. If they say one way or the other, I wouldn’t trust it as it is really just a guess. At 15w2d, I was able to learn gender by ultrasound and it’s matched at every scan since then; however, I haven’t given birth yet.

you wont get the gender on an U/S at 12 weeks. more like 18-20 weeks.

I found out at 19w2d. I always hear to do it around 20 weeks for the best accurate answer which is right.

12 weeks is really early and I wouldn't trust a guess at that time. I know there is a "just for fun" ultrasound place that will do them at 14 weeks in my area, but I've always heard 16 weeks is the safest bet.
