I'm not really familiar with this so I have to ask...
Can a woman lose weight while being pregnant?

I lost 23lbs while pregnant. Then in my third trimester I gained it all back plus one lb. After I had my baby, I lost 29lbs. My son is currently 5 weeks old, and I am still working on losing more.

yes especially for women who throw up in the first trimester. (or any trimester really) but the doctor will monitor closely to make sure the baby is growing properly

I guess it depends. doctors tend to want their patients to gain some sort of weight during pregnancy, but I started over really overweight and I've lost some weight.
