Endometriosis
Hi!
I need help and advice.
Every since I was of the age of 10, a month before my 11 birthday, I received my menstrual cycles.
From what I can remember, I have always had excruciating periods.
Most of my periods include : diarrhea, nausea, sweating, chills, heavy periods, and headaches which relates to the nausea.
After research I have found that my symptoms relate that of endometriosis.
I am a minor, and I do not know how to tell my parents my speculations or how to get help.
I was looking for ways that I can do it myself, and without getting my parents involved.
Everyone tells me that I need to "deal with the pain" , "every female has painful periods" , or "toughen it up".
My periods are very painful majority of the time.
Meaning once in a blue moon I won't have excruciating pain.
Previously I had my period, and was at a car model show (for 4-H I build car models with my father) when my period came along.
I laid on the cold bathroom floor for hours : crying, sweating, diarrhea, nausea, not being able to move, heavy blood and large clots for discharge, and cramps like you would not believe.
When later I asked my grandmother for Ibuprofen praying it would decrease my pain, and it did to a minimal.
I do not know what to do!
I don't want this to be all in my head, or get help and pay all of that money to find out that there is nothing medically wrong.
My parents once said that I can't hold pain and I always think that I am sick, which is another factor into me keeping my self diagnosis to myself.
What should I do?
Thanks!
