Sex in the same room as sleeping newborn

I'm not stupid or messed up in the brain. I just know our baby will sleep in our room and our living situation at the moment doesn't allow us to just go to the living room. Wondering if people stay away from this or do it knowing the baby won't know ? Idk lol
