Las Vegas is my hometown, I grew up here, I’ve made friends here, it’s not a place it’s a part of me. The things that happened last night have broke me down to the core and I can’t shake them from me. Las Vegas has gone silent, this city is quieter than I’ve every experienced. Coming to school today ripped me apart, the pain of learning your friends are injured leaves you in a blankness where the only thing you could sense is a ring in your ears. Everyone left their homes to donate blood, or they stayed in to watch the news. Las Vegas for once, was empty. Watching the news you don’t realize how awful the tragedy is until it hits you right in the heart. I never thought this could happen to me but it did, and it can’t happen near you too, be kind to everyone, you don’t know if it’ll be your or their last day. Life is fragile and we need to appreciate each other more.
