During the week of December 11, my husband has to a 5 day (M-F) training for work at our state capital. We live with my parents who take care of our 1 year old while we're both at work (they're retired) but my parents graciously agreed to watch her overnight (we take over when we're home) so I can make a trip up on that Thursday and come back Friday! It's about a 2 hour drive from where we live without traffic... there isn't much to do at our state capital but it'll be nice just to explore on my own while my husband is at the training. We'll be driving back down together on Friday.

But honestly what I'm excited about is getting a full night's sleep... who knows I might even end up just hanging out in the hotel room most of the day (it's a lot colder up there and it tends to rain in December out in Northern California). It'll be near Christmas time too so I'm excited to also see decorations!
