I might need to get an hsg in a few weeks once, and if, my period comes. Can anyone give me advice if they've already done it? The doctor said it doesn't hurt at all. What are your experiences? Did it help you conceive shortly after? I heard you are the most fertile up to 6 months after getting an hsg done. Is that true? We've been TTC for 14 months now.

its really not a big deal. the entire test only takes a few minutes. youll feel some intense cramping for about a minute or less. take some Advil or Tylenol about an hour prior to the procedure. beware, they use a blue dye so my next af actually had blue dye in it.
