In L&D - High fetal heart rate. **Update**
Need advice girls. Please!!
Came in for decreased movement and they're concerned because her heart rate is staying consistently high.
They're doing a urine sample and blood work to see what's next but I know if they're too concerned I could potentially be told to deliver today. Her heart rate has got as high as 209.
I'm 37+2 and at my last appointment I was dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced.
Has anyone else gone through this?
Update:
Well here's what I found out. They released me after about 5 hours and several tests including an ultrasound. They said everything looked okay so they really didn't have a good reason for why it was happening. They said that before I left, her heart rate was staying in the 160 range which was better, but I personally know that's higher than it's been at my appointments. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow and they scheduled a NST on Friday morning bright and early.
Should I have pushed them to do more? I just want what's best for her and I'm not sure what usually comes out of NST's.
