10 weeek old changed? Please help moms!!!!

My son is going to be 10 weeks old in 2 days. All of a sudden the last few days he’s changed completely he used to be sooo happy and never cried (unless hungry or tired) now he’s crying non stop, soo fussy, won’t sleep unless someone holds him, if you put him down he freaks out and lets out the most heartbreaking cry. I haven’t slept in 4 days! He won’t sleep longer than a hr if that at night and sleeps during the day 10-15 mins at a time the second you put him down he wakes up screaming. He used to sleep from 9:30-3:30am then again sleep till 6:45am and wake up again at 8:30 to start our day but I don’t know what is going on with him. His eating habits changed he eats non stop I am exclusively breastfeeding he won’t stop eating and still doesn’t seem to be content or happy. Please any moms out there with any advice or help or went through this? I’m so tired and I feel horrible I can’t make him feel better :( I thought maybe teething? Please help!

He may be starting leap 3 (concept from the Wonder Weeks book). I know my son is generally very happy and just a great baby. Leap weeks turn my son into a very hard to deal with baby. He won't eat well or sleep well. He'll fuss all the time for bo apparent reason. He'll cry as soon as I put him down. He's just super, super clingy. Fortunately these phases never last too long and he is usually back to his happy self within a week. Hopefully your baby quickly works through whatever is going on. I know it's a challenge to deal with those sudden changes. You can do it!

UPDATE- sooo last night he slept much better and seems to be back to his usual self today ?!?! Wthhh sooo lasted about 3-4 days of pure hell nooo idea what it was but fingers crossed it’s over !!

My daughter is 8 weeks old and last week or so crying constant fussy feeding every hour won't be put down 
Does your little one settle when on his front on your chest on his front?

It’s normal for them to be sound asleep and than to wake right up when they are put down. I’m surprised he went this long without doing that. It’s why a lot of us chose to bedshare when that wasn’t a part of the plan. I used a co sleeper that sat on the bed next to me.

My youngest niece was like that. Mom told my sister to get her super tired but not asleep, and then lay her down. She fussed and cried a bit but would fall asleep within 5-10 minutes... they get use to being held when asleep and then imagine the sensation of falling... because you’re pulling them away and putting them down. They don’t feel secure. So it startles them and they get scared. As for eating.... maybe a growth spurt? Have you tried pumping while nursing? My sister had that issue with her oldest... she would nurse non stop... found out my sisters supply had basically dried up after a really bad kidney infection. So baby wasn’t getting enough. She tried everything to get her supply back but it didn’t work. So she ended up having to go to formula.

Im in the same boat except my son is 9 weeks. Sleeping only 20-30 mins during the day, at night went from sleeping 4-5 hour stretches to now 2 hours.. this just started this week and I’m one tired mom. Yesterday he was better but Tuesday and today were bad, crying all day.

Probably a growth spurt. The sleep less and eat more.
