Playard, crib or both?

My daughter slept in her pack n play til she was 11 months old in me n my bf room she now a week shy of her first birthday and sleeps in a toddler bed in her own room

Pack on play next to our bed, crib in her room for when she’s a year old

And a crib provides need back support for older baby’s/ toddlers than a pack and play so in the long run I personally think a crib is a must have

they aren't supposed to sleep only in the pack and play... they need a crib it's more support

Question: what’s the point of getting both when they are used for the same thing?

I have both because the pack and play can be taken when you travel or when grand parents watch the kiddos for a bit more convenient than moving a crib lol
