I wouldn't be upset with the general knowledge that he finds her attractive cuz he's  a guy she's a girl thats normal.  But i might have a problem with the motel part depending on circumstances and whether i had met the girl or not.

That sounds like a recipe for disaster! If they get along well enough to be best friends but there is also an attraction then in my mind not much can beat that. If she feels the same way then I would not trust them.
