Remedies for bleeding nipple

Hi everyone - FTM with a 5 day old, trying to exclusively breastfeed. He's got a wonderful latch and does a great job on the left side, but the right side is giving both of us a lot of trouble. My nipple is a different shape on the right, which means he needs multiple latch attempts. He has successfully fed from the right, but the shape and many attempts have left my nipple raw and bleeding and incredibly sore. The last few feedings, I have tried him on that side but wind up switching after a couple of attempts because the pain is so severe.

My question is, what can I do to help my nipple heal quickly? I am already doing a saline soak, air drying, and using lanolin after every feeding. The lactation specialist told me to call Monday if it isn't more tolerable to get a prescription for Triple Nipple steroidal cream, but I would love some at home ideas as well.
