Is it too early?

My daughter is 3 weeks today and ive recently started pumping so that her dad could bond with her while feeding. He see's how tired I've been and he wants to take her for the night so that I could rest. Is it too early for her to be away from me for that long?

It's wonderful that your husband wants to take your baby so you can get rest. We took shifts too and it made world of a difference.  But be sure to get up to pump every 2-3 hours if you want to keep your supply up. You don't want to skip sessions, as it is signaling your body that you don't need the milk. If your husband takes the baby, you only get up to pump and go back to sleep.

I didn’t give my daughter a bottle until after a month old. Then when I did, she pretty much decided it wasn’t as fun as the boob. My hubby wanted to help but my LO didn’t want anything to do with it. 
I would recommend trying a “break” for a few hours before you jump into all night. That way she can try a bottle, and you can try a nap but she’s not only given the option of bottles for 8 hours if she needs mommy.

As long as he can handle it I don't see why not.. Momma needs rest too
