Friend zone

Hi, I'm almost 16 years old. There's a boy my age that I like, we've known each other for 4 years now. We're very close friends, but everyone thinks that we're a couple. When people ask us if we're dating he always starts to laugh which really hurts. I feel like he's taking advantage of me (in a NOT sexual way) because he knows I'd do anything for him. I don't want to talk to him about my feelings, because it would make it awkward between us and I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me back. I feel like I'm stuck :(( Should I continue our friendship if I'm hurting every time he talks to a girl? Maybe the best way would be to stop talking? Do you think it's possible that he will ever like me more than a friend?
