New to group! Intro!

Hi there! I'm 30 and my husband is 28. We have been TTC since July of 2016. My husbands numbers came back great! I however have had a decent amount of appointments and was told I have PCOS. I did two rounds of letrozole (I didn't ovulate on either dose level) and then was sent from my endocrinologist to the fertility clinic. While seeing my first specialist she did an ultrasound, an internal (saw cysts) and always had to induce periods using progesterone (the second time it didn't work) the fertility dr has since done his own internal ultrasound, checked my uterus lining (which was good!) and he did the sono and foam test! Both of those were good! I have been on 1500mg a day of metformin (I have zero side effects) since mid august. I go back in November and he said he will prescribe me with a higher dose of femara and try that. So far in his words "nothing needs to be fixed. We just need to get you to ovulate. And hopefully the metformin tenderizes your ovaries in the meantime" My shortest cycle since July 2016 has been 45 days and my longest has been 92. Has anyone had success with femara? I want to tell him to give me the highest dose! The time he had me induce a period the progesterone didn't work and he had to perscribe me a more synthetic drug. Why won't anything work?!?!?!? Anyone else in my shoes?! Words of encouragement needs here!
