So my husband and I have been married over eight years but the families have not fully met each other. The reason being is that they are around 9000 miles away from each other. It was decided that everyone from his country was going to travel to the U.S. to meet my family. Its a big deal since the older people are coming as well. What does half of my family do? Moves Christmas to another person's house so they won't be in the area when everyone comes. WTF. WHY ARE THEY LIKE THIS??? In my family it is a rule that if you don't like something, just grin and bare it. Act politely with respect and get through whatever it is. I have done this literally a hundred or more times for them...but when it comes to me, no way. I just can't believe this. I'm fucking pushing U.S. visas for 3 family members this week...UGH sorry...just really mad. UPDATE: The family got their visas so we are good to go on that end. So glad the consular officers were nice to them 😊
