Depression or fatigue?

Hi, ladies! I just switched from loestrin to orthotricyclen (one week in), and I’m exhausted all the time. Better said, I always feel weighted down and my mind is all blurry. This is very similar to some of my symptoms of depression, and now I’m trying to figure out whether this is my usual depression acting up or if it’s a side effect of the orthotricyclen since this is only my first week on it. I’m not sure if it’s depression because my other usual symptoms aren’t showing up, but this sort of heavy feeling/listlessness/fogginess is my main defining symptom of depression.

I was on loestrin for years as a way to help with my horrible cramps, but it stopped working for that several months ago. My gyno switched me to orthotricyclen and said I shouldn’t feel an elevation of any symptoms because it’s just a slightly higher dosage of what’s in loestrin. I’m just concerned this is going to be ongoing.

My job requires a lot of independence and self-drive as it’s not a 9-5 with a manager peering over my shoulder. I don’t work in an office and don’t have to clock in anywhere because I work mostly on college campuses by myself. This whole issue is making it very difficult to get to work, and I know it’s going to start impacting my numbers. I’m just so tired and unclear all the time.

Any advice would be much appreciated!
