October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As a national nonprofit focused on prevention and early detection, we're here to help you live your BREAST LIFE by getting into the habit of practicing breast self-awareness.

We encourage you to practice “knowing your normal” each time you get a reminder by doing the following:
1. Touch your breast tissue from multiple angles & with varying pressures
2. Make sure to cover all breast tissue (it extends up to your collarbone and underneath your armpit!)
3. Look for: changes in size, shape, contour, dimpling, pulling, redness, or scaly skin
If any of these changes persist for 2-3 weeks, it’s time to talk to your healthcare provider!
