what do YOU take to baby showers??

this is me asking you what YOU personally take.. say everything baby could ever need is on the registry, what are your go to items you bring??? im just curious as to what i'll probably get and what i need to get myself before because i want to get as much done as soon as i possibly can..

The usual... diapers, wipes, bottle brushes, boogie wipes, snot sucker (don't forget the refills) and a "lovie" with baby's name.
For mom, a pizza cutter (it was my godsend when I needed to cut a sandwich or whatever while holding my son) a bottle of wine... and no joke, I sent my friend a huge pack of paper plates, cups paper towels and plastic cutlery. With a new baby, you're either too tired or too busy to even think about washing dishes.

I'm big on buying clothes, because it's so much fun buying clothes for a newborn. I always yhrow in a gift for Mom as well, but that depends on who the person is.

sock ons (little things that go over socks to keep them on mama will never lose a pair of socks), 
a nice scarf for mama - usually a soft cotton or bamboo ( cosy/feeding cover up/ disguise stains on t shirts, emergency muslin/ wrap baby/ swaddle = very useful gift) 
bag of larger nappies, 
and an Amazon credit to buy Kindle books with. (I found that I never could read a book while I was trapped under a baby nap, but the Kindle app on my phone has allowed me to catch up on my reading and not disturb the baby as I can read one handed.)

I went for bath stuff. Two baby sized towels, wash cloth, and a muslin wrap. People always go for clothes and such so I thought about other items for day to day use.

Honestly every shower iv gone to if its a girl ALL they get is clothes. And boys mostly the stuff they need. So if its a girl I usually try to find the stuff you really need. Bath stuff, thermometer socks you can never have too many socks. If it's a boy that stuff plus a cute outfit I feel like they just don't have much for boys so if you find something that is actually cute you gotta get it!

I look at the registry and keep in mind what I'm going to spend. I buy wipes and diapers (usually size 1 or 2) and if I do clothes I buy 6 months and up, people always go crazy with newborn sizes.

Gift cards.  Boring,  I know.  But registries aren't a thing here,  if I'm close with the person inviting me I'll ask what they need and get them that.  If I'm not particularly close I just get them a Gift Card so they can use it to get whatever they want or need later on.  Although in saying that,  I had a close friend who wasn't finding out what she was having so I gave her a gift card too so she could go buy clothes for after baby was born (not a fan of the unisex stuff)

My go to is some older stuff, or sippy cups,
Plates, spoons, and forks!  My reasoning is bc people always get you baby stuff but it’s soo nice when you start transitioning to be like yes I have that rather than having to go to store to buy it! I also saw an idea like a PP and they got dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper stuff like that! House
Hold goods! Said that way don’t have to take new born to store for necessities! Thought that was a great idea and could spend money of baby stuff they need! Good luck
