This is new

So me and my SO had sex tonight after years without 😭 (it was only 4 days but who's counting? 🤓) Anywho, sometimes we get a little rough and I'll see a spot or two of blood when I clean up, no biggie. But tonight when I cleaned up there was so much! Like, I had to wipe several times to clean up, and my SO had blood all over his ya know. But here's the crazy part, he used both hands alternatively throughout the night but only one was covered in blood. Then after I was clean, I came back to bed and I started cramping. I mean, not really bad, but like kinda dull period cramps. At first I thought it may be my period, but AF isn't due for another 6 days and I'm usually right on time. I assume, that he may have just scratched me because it was only on one hand? But I'd like to get a few more opinions. So what's your thoughts on this? Has it ever happened to any of you? What caused it? How'd you keep it from happening again?
