it really depends on your relationship and what the party is. I live with my SO and I invite him and he invites me. unless its like a boys only or girls only thing we usually go together

My SO and I live together and have the same group of friends and we always all hang out together. So I mean if I'm told told then it's an invitation for both of us, vice versa for him. 
Besides he never wants to go anywhere by himself anyway, he always ask me if I want to go if I say no then he stays home with me instead of doing whatever he was invited to.

My husband and I have friends aside from each other so we get invited to do things without each other. No big deal I think it's important to have a life outside of your SO as well as with. It's ok to have your own friends and visa versa with him as well. I think a good Balance between both is important.

My ex would never invite me to like anything 🙄 ultimately one of the reasons that led to our break up. May not sound like a huge deal but it was. He didn't even think about me or invite me unless I complained about it. Sorry, I want my SO to want to spend time with me and not be indifferent to if I'm there or not.

we're at that mental state where were not interested in going to parties but if we're not both invited generally we ask the other. sometimes I ask my husband to go without me because I just can't handle it LOL but we don't go to parties at all so this is more in the line of guys trips or girls trips or going to do something with some friends really quick up the road
