Dog paw :(( Anyone see this before?

My baby Charlie has what looks like it could be an abscess or something like it on his foot. I am going to make him a vet appointment tomorrow to see if it’s anything serious. Have you ladies ever seen this with your pets?

Looks like so sort of abscess! May be caused by a foreign body like a foxtail or sticker. Poor thing! Shouldn’t be too serious. If they determine it is a foreign body they will remove it while under local anesthetic and give antibiotics!

I'm a veterinary technician and we see this stuff come in all the time! From what I can see- there isn't a drain tract(a hole somewhere on the raised lesion). If there was, then a doctor would most likely use a pair of hemostats to see how long the drain tract was and see if a foreign body has migrated and caused an infection. Abscesses don't normally show up out of nowhere unless there is trauma of some sort. Tell me this- is your kiddo licking at it a lot?
