How long does the numbness around c-section would last????

I just had my baby on 10/06 by c-section never had one before. My belly feels numb, it’s more closer to the incision, how long does it last.??? Or is this even normal??

Mine started to come back around 8 or 9 months pp. I'm now 14 months pp and it's a teeny bit less sensation than the rest of my belly but nothing noticeable.

Parts of my scar are still numb but the area around the incision is back to normal. I'm 6.5 months PP. I learned when I was attacked by a dog that nerves take a LONG time to heal. The entire area around the bite was numb for almost a year. I had testing done to make sure that I didn't have permanent nerve damage. If the scar/wound is fresh I wouldn't worry. You'll have to go in around 6 weeks for a check up. You can ask about it then or if it really worries you call the doctor. Peace of mind phone calls are free!

I’ve had 3 c-sections. My oldest is 23 and I still had numb spots when I had my third 6 weeks ago. It’s frustrating but normal.

My first C section was 5 years ago. Where my scar is and about an inch above and a half a inch below is still numb. It's permanently like that lol. It gets better in time tho. For the first 2 years I was numb all the way up to my belly button.
