CONCEIVE WHILE ON PERIOD

Well i used to have the IUD because on 9/15/17 i went to get it removed. And the next day i got my period. It lasted for 1 week. Now, last night me and my husband were getting it on and today when i woke up to go use the restroom around 6am, i had a puddle of blood!!!! I guess my period is here. I wanna know if its easier to conceive while on your period or is there more chances after your period? We want a baby already. Our youngest shes 5. I believe its time and plus im 30 rn so why not??
