Julien Alexander’s Birth story

Sara

October 3rd, 2017 I went in for my 37 week ob appointment and they said that my blood pressure was high and that my urine urine had protein in it so they wanted me to go to a labor and delivery to be monitored and get some labs done. After a few hours of being and my blood pressure taken every 30 minutes my labs came back and the doctor said I have preeclampsia and that I needed to be induced so they started me on these pills where I took two every 4 hours.... so I started that at 4pm Tuesday and took another two at 8pm and then at 12am they checked my cervix and I was 3cm dilated so they decided to start me on Pitocin so after that I started feeling the contractions. At 8am Wednesday they checked me and I was still 3cm so she decided to break my water. After that the contractions got a lot worse a lot. I got the epidural at 12pm and felt a lot better. Got checked again at 2:45pm was 9cm and started to feel a lot of pressure and started feeling the contractions and she checked me again at 2:50ish and I was 10cm and it was time to push. Pushed 2 times then the doctor Pulled him the rest of the way and he was out at 2:58pm October 4th, 2017. Weighing 6lbs 7oz 18 1/2 inchs.
