Why negative tests?

I'm a week late.... took 6 tests throughout the week all negative.... I've taken at different times of the day... last time I was pregnant with my son the line was so faint.... no faint line this time... nausea for 3 weeks, so exhausted, body feels different but negative tests...

I was almost to month TWO missed period before I finally pulled a positive test...and it was blatantly positive at that point.
