My story
Went into the hospital to be induced at 10 am, got gowned up and sat in the labor room with my husband, best friend and my two sisters. They put pitocin in my iv around 12 noon and we waited so long, my sisters left for food and my husband (bless him) was losing patience. Everyone got back but not contraction had hit yet. It was such a long wait, they wouldn't let me get up to pee, I had to use a bedpan. 7 pm hits and I remember watching football that I didn't even understand, but my husband wanted to watch it and there it went. My labor started. It was all good. I was talking through contractions.. the nurse checked me and she smiled so big and said "3/4 😃😃" the Dr came in right after her (maybe thirty min later at 8pm) and said "I'm going to break your water" he was so nice, he kept us all so calm. I guess my face said it all because my contractions were starting to bother me and my epidural hadn't got there yet and he wanted to go ahead and break my water. It hurt. so much pressure and my contractions intensify so much. My nurse was a god sent woman though and helped me through all of it. My epidural got there...ahh, relief.. now to enjoy the rest of this labor... Nope! Nurse checks me as soon as I get comfortable in bed again and it's time. Atleast I got to push without 90% if my pain. I felt some burning, and my son's head pop out, but over all, I just wanted to hold him and love him. I stated pushing at 9 ish, and he was out at 930. I still remember just staring at him while the Dr sewed me up.. time stopped but my heart didn't. It was getting fuller by the moment and my husband ran to the nurse when she offered him to hold him for the very first time 😋😍
