How do you calculate your DPO?

How do you normally count the start of your 2ww? I normally wait until I get my + then I stop testing. But, I got my + opk Thursday of this week. And then I tested again Friday and I still had a surge . I’m thinking of just going from the initial smiley face to count? So I’m 2 DPO right now? Thanks!

You have two days of surge so that’s normal. I could dpo starting from my first day of surge. So if your first positive was Thursday, Friday is 1dpo.

I think its from the last positive you get, since the egg released after a positive so if it's positive the next day you know it hasn't released yet
