Metformin and PCOS

Hi ladies!

So a bit of background, I was diagnosed with pretty severe pcos about 6 years ago and have been battling with horrid symptoms, ED visits, surgeries and every possible pill/injection/IUD under the sun ever since. My BF and I have been together five years and decided about 18 months ago to try for a baby and haven't had any luck. My Dr has now put me on Metformin which I'm a little anxious about starting due to some nursing friends of mine telling me I'll get fat and lose my hair 😩🙈 has anyone tried this "miracle" drug and have any insider knowledge to share with me?
