What to do?

My doctor wants me to take steroids to try and get my platelet count up. But I’ve read online about it and kind of don’t want to from what I read. I have an appt tomorrow but they called the prescription in today. Anyone else take steroids for this reason? Should I, or should I ask for an induction (she already mentioned it) or ask to get my membranes swept to see if I go in labor on my own?

How far along are you?  What was your platelet levels?? Have you had more than one draw to check which way they are trending?  I just had low platelets and ended up having to have a csection at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome.  We had 3 failed Inductions starting at 36 weeks.

You definitely don't want low platelets. That's how your blood clots. Which if you can't clot well after labor it could be quite dangerous. You could wait to start taking it until you have your appointment tomorrow and address your concerns.
