Vegan and insulin resistance

I’m have been doing research and I’m really thinking about going vegan.. because I’m insulin resistant and I’m really not finding a lot of stuff that will help me.. like I don’t know how to eat properly.. I work out everyday for 1 hour and i see no changes in my body!! And one please help!! I have also heard about a plant base diet but the more I read the more I find that certain information contradicts its self like I have read that dairy is bad for pcos but it’s good for insulin resistance? Isn’t pcos and insulin resistance the same thing?? I was told by my doctor that i had pcos but i didn’t have any cyst in my ovaries.. can I be insulin resistant without having pcos?
