Due date change? Confused

So I’m a little confused! I had my anatomy scan today and everything is looking great! But instead of my due date being March 5, they said he’s measuring 5 days ahead so Feb 28. But they are keeping my due date March 5. Anyone have an idea why? It’s only a 5 days difference I know... but I wanna know what I should put on all my apps to give me the correct growth updates lol I look forward to each week!

My OB says he doesn't change due dates unless there is a significant difference.. usually like a 2 week difference. Measuring 5 days ahead isn't a big deal. On one of my ultrasounds my baby was measuring 3 days ahead but I'm still going by my last period cause that's what my due date is based off  🤷🏻‍♀️

My LO measured 3 weeks ahead my entire pregnancy, they told me he would be early and weigh 10lbs. He came one day before he was due at 8lbs 5oz. They can measure "ahead" or "behind", but this isn't about due date, it's just the size of the baby measuring ahead or behind the average baby at that time of the scan.

My son was measuring 2 weeks ahead and he was born a day before my due date.

Keep it the same. Baby can grow at different rates through pregnancy just like outside the womb. Or you could have a bigger baby.

They keep it by your last period generally, unless the sonogram shows a significant difference.  It’s pretty irrelevant anyways, most people don’t give birth on their due date.  My sonogram showed about a week ahead also, and even though my midwives still use my original date, I’m personally preparing for my ultrasound date or before :)

Mine is measuring a whole week ahead I’m due October 28 but ultrasound gave October 21 but they kept the 28th so I kept it the 28 as well lol I go in the 23rd to have her
