Any moms have no signs of labor but ended up in labor anyways?

Question

Have any moms on here have no signs of labor for the weeks leading up to giving birth and all of sudden go into labor? 
 And for the moms that did, what were your signs? 
I just wanna know because I’ve been having intense menstrual like cramps and only effaced a little and what seems like for frequent bowel movements. But nothing else. No dilating. I just want this baby out 😭😭😭😭

With my first I was at the doctors on Thursday and was not dilated at all. I had no symptoms whatsoever. They were talking about the possibility of having to induce me, I was already a week and 2 days passed my due date. At 11 that night I started having contractions and was on my way to the hospital around 7. My water never broke and I didn’t lose my mucus plug, before getting to the hospital.

My midwives never did any cervix checks, so I have no idea if I was dilated. But I had no symptoms what so ever until the night of. Then everything went pretty fast.
