Sore breast

My breasts have been really sore the past few days and they feel bigger and kind like they are swelling. I’m not close to my period starting and I didn’t just get off it. I am taking birth control. Could that have something to do with it. It’s gotten to the point where the hurt just being touched a little to hard. I’m sexually active but I don’t think I could be pregnant (could that even be a reason why they hurt and seem to be growing?)I just don’t want something major to be wrong but I’m not to worried bc I know it’s common but I’ve never had breast pain like this.
