Spotting but no period?

I'm late for two months already and there is spotting of fresh blood for one day and it goes away. What's does this mean? Pregnant? Irregular period?

I've had the same thing and all negative tests at home and the dr. I'm on cycle day 82 because she said not to count the spotting as a period and if I don't get mine in nov to come in and they'll give me something to give me one. Sex has been weird the last two months also. Like can't get in all the way and now its painful. I think I'm going to schedule my annual  and see what they tell me because sex ha never hurt and that's not normal. Also 2 months ago I had a faint positive then spotting so they think I was and lost it but i never bled afterwards. Something's off and I feel sick all the time or have cramping or pain and I want to feel normal again.
