When to get hospital bag ready?

Hubby and I have been talking about getting our bag and the baby bag ready. But how soon is too soon? I’m 25weeks&4days. When did you get yours ready? What all did you need and not need?

I literally packed at 41 weeks while laboring at home before going to the hospital

I'm 34 weeks and haven't given it more than a passing thought, lol. Measuring where I need to be and doc said she sees no reason why I would go any earlier than just a week, so no need to yet in my opinion

Still haven't gotten mine ready completely at 36 weeks 2 days. So far I have some baby hats, some travel sized toiletries, one pill from my prescription in an old prescription bottle, that might be it lol.

With my first I did mine after the Dr told me I was 3cm so I had the bag ready to go just in case. I was around 38 weeks. With my second I was still using the same diaper bag from my first, so I just threw in some pacifiers and a couple outfits for her because the hospital supplies the diapers and wipes while you are there and thats really all baby needs while you are there. We always had it on us, so we were ready to go when I was like 36 weeks. With this one we will probably pack again at 36 weeks just because I like having it done waaay in advance

I'm having issues and am already 2cm as of last check which was at 27 weeks. I have a bag of essentials (toiletries, phone charger, socks, underwear, slippers, 2 pairs of comfy clothes) packed for myself and in the car. If I need anything else, my husband or mom will bring it to the hospital. I won't pack for baby until 34ish weeks (if I make it that far) because at that point they won't do anything to stop my labor.
