A- days off are all yours, physically getting ready for work takes time and it would be less times a week,  the amount  of driving there and back is less since u don't be driving 5 times a week.

I used to work full time and in September 2016, I happily quit my job to be a SAHM. 
In July of this year my old boss called to beg me back. I was excited to go back to work - but with the schedule I want. So, I now work 9am-130pm, 3-4 weekdays per week, and I DO NOT do weekends.
This gives me the chance to get my son dropped off at school, and after work I still have plenty of time to run errands, go to the gym and get my house in order.

Im currently doing 5 random shifts, all atleast 5 hours and go until 7pm. It really sucks. Making 9.75 an hour before taxes and union fees, and having to drive 20 minutes each way takes a lot out of a little paycheck. I never make more than 200 a week... Three 8 hour shifts are what i dream about. Unfortunately my work enjoys being understaffed, and I'll never see that luxury again.

Depends on the work.at my engineering job I'd want consecutive 8hr shifts. But at my waitressing job I'd want the random short shift for more time with my kids.

I actually do both. There’s pros and cons of this, pros of 8hr you get your set schedule only need to work 4-5 days a week. 5 hr shifts you need to work many and at my job you have to do a 12 your shift a week as well
