5 Week Growth Spurt?

Question

Anyone else experiencing a growth spurt with your lo right now? Seemed like today if my little girl wasn't eating or sleeping she was fussing or crying. I. Am. Exhausted. Hoping it's a growth spurt and nothing else!

Oh my gosh so glad I read this!! (I completely forgot) LO was 6weeks a couple days ago and he has been terribly cranky yesterday and today. Wanting to eat or at least always have a bottle in his mouth and has been horrendous at taking his naps. (Only slept for 1 hour earlier) It has made for an insanely crabby lil man. I spent nearly 4 hours trying to get him to nap and finally he did but Ive had to hold him for 3 hours straight before I could set him down without crying. He has been sleeping now for 5 hours with brief intermediate moments of waking then falling back asleep. I keep waiting for him to wake up so I can feed him then go to bed myself...which will probably happen the moment I decide to close my eyes 😜

It sounds like a growth spurt or mental leap. My LO is 3 weeks so not there yet but check out the Wonder Weeks, it talks about leaps. I also found this on another group. Hope it helps.

Yup!! My little guy is 5 weeks. Same here love!

We went through this spurt and it was awful . It lasted about a week and a half for us. After it is over you will see the difference. You’ll notice new things he can do and we noticed his head grew. I recommend reading Wonder Weeks, there’s a book or an app. During these tough weeks It helps so much to understand what they are going thru.

☝🏻me I think! I hope! She turned 5 weeks yesterday... my back hurts. She falls asleep and wakes up crying as soon as i put her down. Not usual. I’m hoping it’s just a tummy ache or another spurt because she was a  chill baby. I’m hoping this is not her temperament 😢

Is your baby going through a mental leap by any chance? I know when they are going through it they have a whole week or less of when they are very fussy. it starts I believe from 4 1/2 weeks to 5 1/2 weeks depending on the given due date.

I had that a few days ago. Daughter will be 6 weeks Monday. She wanted to eat more frequently and protested sleep. Literally would only sleep 30-45min. It was awful. I heard the 6week growth spurt is the worst. 
Then the next couple days all she did was eat and sleep lol. She seems a little more back to normal now. Hope it’s over 😬🤞🏼
