Mirena IUD Help

December 1st will mark 2 years with my IUD.

Before getting on any form of birth control my periods were not painful at all and only lasted 3 days or so.

With the IUD, I usually only get my period about every 6 months - and it is really only spotting and absolutely no pain for a couple days.

But I’ve had two 5-6 day semi-painful periods and one, so far, 8 day SUPER painful period that is still going on and not slowing down at all. All in the span of a month.

Should I be concerned? Should I call my OBGYN or just wait it out a bit longer? What should I do in the meantime to deal with pain? I’ve tried all the typical things, and nothing has helped at all.

I’m just in a lot of pain and it’s very anxiety provoking.
