TEACH YOUR GUYS ABOUT PERIODS
Guys today still think periods are gross. Not all but I know a lot of them do. Girls, if you have a boyfriend please let him know everything about it. Even some of the “TMI” things. [Ex: how heavy do you bleed, bleeding through your pants/panties]
Let him know how you feel and what you want. There’s nothing better than being spoiled while you’re on your period. Better yet you could be helping other girls out too. Here’s a little story:
My boyfriend was in class when he heard a girl ask another girl for a tampon, but the girl said she didn’t have any. He saw the worried look on her face and got up and walked over, asking to go to the bathroom. Instead he ran over to my class and came up to me. He told me about the girl and wondered if I had any tampons on me [because I usually do]. I said “of course” and gave him a couple of tampons, which he put in his pocket, then I gave him a couple of pain killers in case the poor girl was cramping and he ran back. He told me when he gave them to the girl she was so happy and thanked him more than a million times. That made my heart feel so warm and made me feel proud that my boyfriend was so quick thinking and kind enough to do something a lot of guys wouldn’t care to do. Teaching your guy’s about periods could help with stuff like this. Letting them understand that you can’t control it and the amount of pain it gives to us girls could end in a great outcome. Even with the simplest things like buying us candy or pain killers. We’ve got to start somewhere, so why not start with the guys we can trust most then they could help other guys understand. Eventually less and less guys will be asking “is it that time of the month?” Just because we’re moody 😂. It might take awhile, but if we all work to do it then we’ll get there!
