Manager ACCUSED me of stealing
I am deciding on whether I should complain. Now I do have my faults at work, but I have never stolen anything! I counted my drawer Thursday night and it was short $7, which is very rare. Here it goes:
She told me to take my drawer out and go bag food, while carrying the drawer! So I did, at the end of the night I realized I was $7 short. She had me go talk to the head manager, which I did, I counted it in front of him and it was short. He had me go get her and she counted it, and said I was $150 short, and asked me “so where is the money” and shouted at another employee to go get him. She said “you owe us $150” which I said, “ you must have counted wrong because that’s not how much I am missing” so he counted and comes up to that I was missing $7. Then she questioned the other manager, saying “so how did you come up with $7, how did I miscount and gave me this look! I do not appreciate being accused of this, it made me uncomfortable and I feel as if me and her always have problems, because she talks DOWN on me in front of guest. I feel as if I do complain she will make my job harder than what it is. If I WERE to steal, why would I go to other managers and ask for help, or ask for them to help me count? Why wouldn’t I just leave and not come back in for work??? Why would I offer to bring them the money that is missing?? I don’t want her apology, I just want this to be known.
