Birth control

I’m on birth control and new with it and I didn’t take my sugar pills which are the greens ones, for the week of your period and I have this brown looking discharge- kind of looks like dry blood. Should I be worried or fine? I’m on my fifth set right now and I’m currently taking my green pills and on the third day of them but haven’t gotten my period. Any comments that would help me understand what’s going on?
