What just came out of me! HELP!

Question

I am currently 38 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I went to the bathroom and this is what I found in my underwear. I know what normal discharge is, but this was of EXTREMELY thick consistency.
what is it! should I be concerned? Is it worth going to the hospital for?

part of your mucus plug. mine started coming out at 30 weeks give or take. its completely normal. just means you're getting close to labor

That’s Called the mucus plug, that means your baby has dropped and is settled lower into your pelvis, your cervix has started opening and baby is nearly here. For some people it take weeks after their plug comes out for them to be in labor but some only days . Call your OB just to inform them and make sure you get things ready for the baby’s arrival.

its... discharge.  normal looking. not something u need to go to the hospital for. call Ur ob in the morning if anything,  but it doesn't look like anything bad
