When did you tell your other children?

I have 2 Ds's who are 8 & 6 - wondering when to tell them? I'm only 4 weeks at the mo! 9 months is a long time when you're their age! But I told my family sooner than my scan with then.....but I also don't want to tell them before I've told all the 'other important' people incase they let the cat out the bag! Any opinions advice or what you did would be appreciated x

my girls are 5 and 7. we told them a week ago when i was about 10.5 weeks. ideally i would have waited longer, but i wanted them to understand why i've been SO TIRED lately. other factors that encouraged me to tell them sooner was my belly starting to show a little, and mainly because i was worried that someone would bring my pregnancy up in front of them. it was super important for me to tell them, rather than them finding out because someone slipped. 
they have been super excited. my 5 yr old has been especially affectionate towards my belly (maybe bc i told them if they loved on my belly a lot, it could be a girl 😂)

Mine are 6 and 9. We told them at 10 weeks right before we told anyone else. I wanted them to be the first to know. :)

My boys are 5&7 and I'm waiting until 12ish weeks. We told them right away last time and I ended up miscarrying. My 5 year old took it pretty hard.

I told mine when I found out. But my oldest just turned 3 and my youngest is only 1. They don’t understand the whole 9 month thing yet anyways. They just know a baby is in my tummy lol.  But if your comfortable with telling them. Go right ahead and do it.

My kids were 7 & 8 at the beginning of the pregnancy. I intended to tell them after we found out the sex just because 9 months is a long time for Kids to wait. This pregnancy has been horribly rough though and my kids were getting worried about me so I ended up telling them at 5 weeks. Other than them being impatient for the end it’s been good:) They’re so excited

I told my kids at xmas, I was around 12 weeks then. I had them unwrap a gift with the ultrasound pic. they were like ohhhh.. they were 5,4 at the time .

we told our family when we got our bfp, then told our children the day we did an announcement on social media.

Told my 6 year old at 16, almost 17 weeks. She found out she was going to be a big sister and what the gender was at the same time. She has been begging for another baby and for a sister and she got just that!
